Clouds Msg 6/8/13 (Tuesday) He who despises the word must pay for it, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded. - Proverbs 13:13 For almost 2000 years history of our church, only priests got to personally read the Bible, but today, billions of us have access to it. But in spite of this, there are still many believers who are more faithful in reading their daily newspaper than their Bibles. It ‘s no wonder we don’t grow spiritually, we can’t spend 3 hours watching televisions and then spend 3 minutes reading the Bible and expect to grow spiritually. And that is also one of the reason why there are many believers that claim that they cannot hear from God. They don’t spend enough time reading God’s Word! There are many believers who claim to believe the Bible have never read it from cover to cover. But if we can just spend 15 minutes per day to read the Bible, we will completely read through it once a year. If only we can cut one 30 minutes television program a day and spend it to read the Bible, we will have gone through the entire Bible twice a year. We got to understand this, one of the reasons why we are unable to “hear” from God, is because we didn’t spend time reading His Word. Daily Bible reading will keep us in range with God’s voice.
