Club Championships 2014 We had great weather for this years Club Championships that was matched by the quality of the golf. On Saturday, Ali Balcombe and Debbie Quinn-Hall were in the lead at the halfway stage. Ali had a 3 shot advantage over Paul Wilkinson having shot a 5 under par 67. In the Ladies competition, Ruth Steele was trailing Debbie by 2. On Sunday the pace hotted up as Paul and Ruth both put the leaders under pressure. Unforunately Paul had to withdraw due to an injury to his wrist, leaving Ali to win by 4 from runner up Louis Doe. Ruth pulled to within 1 of Debbie who retained her title by the narrowest of margins. The nett competitions were won by Andy Millington and Ruth Steele.
