Dr Wolfgang Cieslik elected once again as of German Coal Importer Association (VDKi) for the period 2014 - 2018. He is also member the board of management at Steag GmbH. Coal Importer Association (VDKi) elected him in its annual members assembly in Rostock. Reinhard Seifert is reelected as his deputy who is also managing director of Hanseatic Coal and Coke Trading, Hamburg. In the meeting despite the elections, the VDKi has given preliminary figures on the world hard coal market and on the German import market for hard coal in Q1 and/or the first 4 months of 2014. Wolfgang Cieslik, the VDKi CEO, also spoke about recent aspects of energy policies during his report to the members.
