Coast Guard Alert: Heating Oil Spill in Penobscot Bay At 1400Q the Terminator (a 680 ft foreign flagged vessel) was transferring Home Heating Oil to the Mack Point Terminal in Searsport, ME. Due to high winds the vessel popped twolines, but was never disconnected from the pier. Approximately 14000 gallons of Home Heating Oil Diesel was discharged into Penobscot Bay. The Facility Officers were able to resecure the lines and stop the transfer.
