Cocoa Prices reached near three-year highs on speculative buying. Cocoa reached £1,952 a tonne in London and $3,082 a tonne in New York — the highest points since September 2011. By Friday on Liffe, London’s futures exchange, cocoa for delivery in July jumped to £1,951 a tonne from £1,878 a week earlier. Coffee The coffee market fell further owing to ample supplies. On ICE Futures US, Arabica for delivery in July dropped to 177.85¢ a pound from 181.35¢ a week earlier. On Liffe, Robusta for July reversed to $1,920 a tonne from $2,007. Sugar Futures steadied. By Friday on Liffe, the price of a tonne of white sugar for delivery in August edged up to $468.90 from $468.70 a week earlier. On ICE Futures US, the price of unrefined sugar for July dipped to 17.27¢ a pound from 17.28¢. Rubber Prices in Kuala Lumpur fell slightly on a strengthening ringgit and mild buying interest, traders said. The Malaysian Rubber Board’s benchmark SMR20 slipped to 169.40¢ a kilo from 171.80¢ a week earlier.
