Cody Joe Tillman is a father that when he had a lawyer, was able to see his little girl Zoe over 50% of the time, (Although still MAXED out on child support.) When he could no longer afford a lawyer, he lost everything, and went to the minimum amount of time allotted to a father by the State of Texas. He had to quit his long time job due to an injury sustained during his combat tour of Iraq, and instead of putting in for unemployment uses his talents as a musician to get by, but could not afford the amount of child support the State and Family courts were still making him pay, the maximum amount according to his previous job. Since his current employment requires him to work mainly on weekends he has tried and pleaded with the Ex to let his little girl stay with him during the week, cutting the cost of daycare completely and even offered to let the Ex have every weekend to compensate for the time during the week(a few hours after work) she got to spend with her daughter. Her words exactly, I would rather pay for daycare, than let her stay with her father. This after she has cried to the courts that she needs help. (Although she lives with another man out of wedlock that is jobless) Cody Joe has tried to be fair in all things, always considering the mothers time with their child as well as his own, yet still he has been met with nothing but malicious intent and vindictiveness. When will this kind of behavior be stopped? When will Fathers be looked at as equals in the Family courtrooms? When will someone stand up and fight for those who dont have the money to fight on their own? This is what a deadbeat dad really looks like. I pledge to donate my time and talents to The Fathers Rights Movement, so that other Fathers that want to have equal rights to their children will not have to go through what I have gone through!
