Coffee discovery ride 3 - attempt two :-) The stats!!! Distance 83.6km, avg speed 26.3km/hr, 350m climbed. Thats enough of that, what about the coffee?? The Croc Rockers rendezvoused at AvantiPlus somewhere near 7am looking for some hardcore coffee drinkers to join the team. Grincheur was feeling the effects of a few Belgians and running a little late. The group set off at a blistering pace of 22km/h. Once Super Domestique De La Mer made his way to the front of the pack the pace increased to a respectable 30km/hr for the all the way to the city. Grincheur spent his time sucking wheels and driving the Belgians from his system. The peloton were rewarded on the run into the city with Team Castelli and Grincheur upping the pace to a solid 35km/hr. Journeying around the south perth foreshore in the brilliant spring sunshine saw many cyclists, runners and chiens on the path. Once again the ducks were out in force, enjoying the sunshine along the way . This weeks coffee discovery was The Kinky Lizard in East Perth. The cafe was packed with cyclists and park runners. Grincheur and De la Mer played the traditional Perth game of Coffee Roulette. While the coffee itself was excellent, the long macc traditional was very short macc like. The apple crumble muffin was excellent, but the lemon cake made with duck eggs was better as a snack for the dogs that frequented the cafe. The ride home was eventful as Grincheur fueled by caffeine set a cracking pace to Cockburn Central in an effort to increase the average pace to over 26km/hr. This left De la Mer repeating the words of Jensie just to hold his wheel. CC was todays finishing point as De La Mer had to pick up the croc rockers new team car. Next weeks ride leader is Grincheur
