Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, The word world above is speaking of a world or atmosphere created by mens beliefs..check out what it says below.. Col 2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Any thought come to mind on this? Religion perhaps?? My wife and I watched a movie this evening titled The Giver.. the plot was a world created by mens ideals and in it knowledge was kept from the rest of the society ..they had a system of Elders that ruled and forbid knowledge of and understanding of life..it was a drab world where people were treated like imbeciles that couldnt make judgments on their own....a world where ignorance was bliss..or so they thought.. it was a story of a civilization that made rules and reglulations to protect people from bad things.. unfortunately there are many out there that think they know whats best for the sheep of the world..check it out.. Col 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? A world of commandments and doctrines of men?? Sound familiar? Col 2:23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh Think about it.. satisfying of the flesh??? Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. This verse should really be considered... to this day there are religions that justify using works of the flesh thinking the outward appearance is holiness Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. This verse above speaks of a righteous judgment.. Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. One shouldnt judge anything that isnt within themselves...
