Cold water immersion. Is it beneficial or just a craze? Latest research from the Journal of Sports Science and Medicine found that 10min cold water immersion (CWI) at 15 C had no beneficial effect for contact sport athletes based on post muscle-functioning and blood marker tests. With great debate still existing over CWI protocols, I suspect theres still a long way to go before a definite scientific answer is found.
