Cold weather continues today with highs in the upper teens to mid - TopicsExpress

Cold weather continues today with highs in the upper teens to mid 20s over the viewing area. After another night in the single digits, temperatures will rise into the upper 20s to mid 30s tomorrow as a warm front tracks through the area. While that sounds great and will bring us low 40s for the weekend, I have some concerns about how it will affect us Friday night. Warm, moist air working over cold ground could lead to some areas of freezing rain and freezing drizzle late Friday night/early Saturday morning before warming enough to become all liquid for the rest of the weekend. As the system pulls away on Sunday night and Monday we will have some snow. It is too early to pin down amounts, yet, though. And a peek ahead to Thanksgiving isnt telling me much... computer models are not agreeing on a temperature, although they do agree it will be below normal. Some say mid 30s, others say mid 20s and some have some snow in the forecast. Well have to wait a few more days to get a better handle on the Holiday.
