Collapsible Wheel The collapsible wheel arrangement is aimed at reducing the likelihood of an automotive rollover type collision. The technology achieves this by reducing the frictional contact between the vehicle and the road surface, thereby increasing the stability. This is achieved through an internal ball and socket joint arrangement. The technology is entirely embedded in the wheel assembly, and is thus a bolt on replacement to the current rim wheel configuration. Based on vehicle accident statistics the fatality rate is significantly high when vehicles flip over during collisions, especially when consumers drive “higher” vehicles such as SUVs. This technology assists in the avoidance of vehicles from flipping over should they be involved in such collisions, thereby dramatically reducing and even eliminating this occurrence from happening.
