Collections Krrish 3 Takes Mind-blowing Opening; Record-breaking Performance Predicted by Soumita Sengupta (November 1, 2013) Krrish is back and this time, too, he has taken the box office by storm. Hrithik Roshan, who last year gave us Agneepath, has delivered yet another blockbuster this year, with Krrish 3. Produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film also features Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in the lead. Considering the response to the morning shows, distributors say they will not be surprised if the film grosses over Rs 200 crore. The film, which took a phenomenal 90-per cent opening all across India, is expected to break records at the ticket window. With the noon shows running house full, expectations are sky high. The father-son duo is known to create out-of-the-box cinema, and with Krrish 3, they have indeed delivered a cracker of a Diwali this year. Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines, Mumbai Krrish 3 has taken a mind-blowing opening all over India at 90 per cent. In Mumbai, the movie opened at 95 per cent. It is a bumper opening and the first time a film has been allotted the greatest number of shows by multiplexes and single-screens. The movie will run house full today, without a doubt. It has released in close to 4,000 screens (all-India). In Mumbai, Krrish 3 released in 1,500 screens and by the second show of the day, it was running house full. He has done it without the backing of any corporate house. The film has received a bumper opening and many morning shows saw 100-per cent occupancy. In East Punjab, the film released in 126 screens and has been allotted maximum number of shows by single-screens as well as by multiplexes. I was wondering if the film would see many footfalls at single-screens but even these cinema halls are running to packed houses since morning. Don’t be surprised if Krrish 3 creates many new records. From the second show onwards, occupancy has been 100 per cent and don’t be surprised if the film reels in Rs 300 crore. It definitely deserves that.
