Colonialism. ======== They cleared the land to graze their sheep, starved Ireland,watched the dying weep; the Welsh mined deep providing coal, while they danced round the sweet maypole. In Caribean Islands far away, they got rich and powerful on slavery; the sugar and coffee,shipped to blighty, London smiled,London the mighty. They fed their soldiers while children died, in Irish ditches while Mothers cried; no famine there,there were pigs and cattle, that fed the troops in a English battle. The dire and dark satanic mills, where slavery filled the rich mans tills; where people toiled from dusk til dark, and never heard the joyful lark. Chimney swept by ten year olds, for the powerful who counted gold, by the fire fuelled by poor mans graft, drank there port,ate well-and laughed. No laughter came in joyful waves , from the hovels of Colonial slaves; one roomed hutches,candle litten, `and they called the place`Great Britain`? Naught has changed,to their shame, `great britain`-London ! still the same; the rich are rich,never tour, outside the enclave where live the poor. They cleared our land and filled the ditches, while they strolled in cash filled breeches; no sorrow,no apologies,no restitution, the time is here for `revolution`.
