Colonisation & Neo colonisation.: (Role of Corporates) After the imperilaistic division of Africa at the Berlin Conference in 1885, the European powers sought to establish colonial power in Africa. The first plot was through trading companies. They were the forerunners of colonial administration and were an integral part in the subjugation and looting of African resources. In Kenya and Uganda, the Imperial British East Africa Company (IBEAC) did this job for Queen and Empire. Such companies later became the multi-national corporations, whose main aim is to continue using their muscle and might to exploit Africa. Colonisation has been replaced with neo-colonisation. The objective is pretty much the same.
