Colorado Springs Police Departments Victim Advocacy Unit is excited to receive a new van to help in the transport of victims. McCloskey Motors Inc. donated $5000.00 towards the Grand Caravan and the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs donated $12,995.00 to complete the purchase. Mr. Joe McCloskey, his wife Ann and son Thom delivered the van to the Police Operations Center this morning. The CSPD Victim Advocacy Unit provides immediate crisis intervention, follow-up support, and information on victim rights and community resources. The Colorado Springs VAU received the International Chiefs’ of Police Award 2014 Award for Excellence in Victim Services.
