Colossians Chapter 1 today. “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:9-10 (Yes, this clearly speaks on sanctification …understanding, appropriate behavior; desire to delight the Lord, good displays and outcomes, the craving to learn His word). “and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:20 (Christ is preeminent/supreme and quells/ends all rebellion, bringing universal peace by way of the cross) “of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,” Colossians 1:25 (Paul proclaims the gospel to the church/declaring the suffering, sacrifice, and supremacy of Christ) “For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” Colossians 1:29 (Far too many times I am exhausted and tired from effort, or left feeling inadequate or defeated, but I continue because of the power of Christ, to encourage others to grow in their faith in Christ)
