It is something that lacks all positive statements that can encourage, built momentum, and inspire motivation. It is that one element which is contrary to what is positive that silences our faith. Negativity affects the emotional and mental stability of an individual, group, or community. Negativity causes the hope of any victorious outcome to not emerge. Negativity blindsides the truth by causing the hearer to conclude a situation by using fear or offensiveness as its evidence. Negativity turns the truth into a lie and a lie into the truth. Proverbs 18:21, NIV, Proverbs 31 Ministries 21:23, NIV, Proverbs 13:3, NIV, Proverbs 15:23, NIV, Proverbs 16:23-24, NIV Negativity is the voice of ___________ that is used to prevent us from exercising our faith towards God’s promises in His Word. James 3:5-11, NIV Satan understands that our words can determine the outcome of any situation. Those who speak with a negative tongue cause spiritual destruction; they are Satan’s voice to stop momentum and hinder the evolution of maturity among God’s people. Negativity is birthed out of the spirit of ___________. This is a spirit Satan uses among us to hinder or stop the Church from accomplishing God’s work within the ministry. Nehemiah 2:17-20, NIV The spirit of sabotage operates as strong demonic influences that drive people to abort the process and success of divinely ordained projects, purposes, relationships, organizations, potential, and destinies. This spirit stirs up the following: Jealousy Resentment Suspicion It is vindictive toward the person who detects its presence. The sabotage spirit can make you both victim and offender so that when you pronounce judgment on others, you expose and pronounce judgment upon yourself. This spirit uses individuals unknowingly like a pawn in his hand by manipulating their thoughts with lies and deceptions. This spirit will usually target less mature believers and if possible those who are knowledgeable of the Word. He waits for any opportunity of an emotional situation between two or more individuals. He thrives on fleshly compulsion within our human nature. His objective is confusion through the redirection away from the truth. Negativity can’t be disinfected or cleansed by ignoring its existence. No, we must demand it absence from among us by facing its carriers in total _________. Galatians 5:15, NIV Satan cannot combat against a unified force among us. Our objective is to maintain a harmonious flow for the Holy Spirit to manifest His spiritual gifts. Satan tries to alter our focus by stirring up contention among us through evil tendencies in our flesh. He is banking on us losing control with our mouth to carry out his plan of attack. A unified group of people with one mind can extinguish negativity. There is a way we can defeat this voice of darkness and have the absence of negativity. If we choose to have _________ in one another, we must understand that there are spirits working against the unity and the bond of peace among us. 1 Corinthians 1:9-10, AMP Together we silence the voice of darkness of negativity as we become a strong fortified adversary to Satan’s tactical warfare. We silence the voice of darkness when we fight against divisions which try to alter how we feel or think about one another. We silence the voice of darkness as we stick together through encouragement that promotes God’s love. We silence the voice of darkness when prayer is urged before everything else. We silence the voice of darkness each time we put negativity in its __________; out from among us. Numbers 16:1-2, NIV The spirit of rebellion is negativity that’s deadly towards leadership. Its objective is to divide and conquer. This spirit comes after the heart of the people to weaken their confidence and security towards their leaders. Negativity has no place among us and when it does appear, it should be swallowed up and consumed as we reject it by not allowing its presence. Numbers 16:28-32, NIV Together we can focus on God’s original purpose for having us assemble together as believers; creating a culture where the love of God is the promoter of our __________. Ephesians 2:21-22, NIV We are together not only by choice but God has joined us together to exercise His ‘will.’ Ephesians 3:6, NIV, Ephesians 4:16, NIV Negativity can’t take charge when we are accountable to one another to keep the unity of the faith. Colossians 3:14, NIV With the absence of negativity we will experience the following: We are caught up together to meet the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17, NIV We will all live together forever. 1 Thessalonians 5:10, NIV We are made perfect together. Hebrews 11:40, NIV Conclusion: The absence of negativity would make this a perfect world to live in. However, negativity thrives among us in and out of the church. Many times, we find ourselves in the presence of individuals where negativity is their food for gossip. They allow Satan to make them victims with confused minds. His objective is to cause his negative and toxic spirit to be injected throughout the church that he might divide. We must work together in the fight of this infiltration before we devour one another. Together we silence the voice of darkness from negativity as we become a strong fortified adversary to Satan’s tactical warfare.
