Coming Wednesday in Voice of the People: I was sorry to read in The Sun (article, Sept. 12) that the Florida Department of Health will prohibit Obamacare navigators from meeting people interested in signing up for health insurance at local county health departments. Gov. Rick Scott claims "privacy concerns" for this action. My question is, if people want to go to someplace they are familiar with to get counseling about which health insurance plan is best for them, why would the state use its power to prevent them from doing so? It seems like a very strange position for someone who claims to be a small government conservative. It also seems like the ultimate example of the "nanny state." The losers in this pathetic political ploy, of course, are the 3.5 million Floridians who lack health insurance and are the victims of right-wing ideologues. Richard H. Powell, Gainesville
