Coming of America, who pays the piper ? I read a lot of reservations and gloomy pessimism from my fellow Northern citizens and a profound happiness from our Southern counterpart, the Northerners sees the coming of American troops for the rescue of the said abducted girls as just another cheap ploy to invade the North and subjugate its people under conquest bearing in mind the American records of peace keeping missions that always ended up in disaster like Somalia, Iraq, Afganistan, Libya and many more. To put it bluntly, many of our Northern fellows sees the coming of US troops as a ploy by some sections of the country who want Northern Nigeria militarized and balkanized, for America to have its foot in Nigerian land which it have been nurturing for long. To the southerners, it is a great news because they see a chance of dealing with the North, hoping that the US Marines will come with drones and start dropping bombs on the Northern landscape and reduce the Northern strength and population to enable them southerners to remain in power. The Biafrans have been looking for chance to revenge the Biafran defeat headed by Northerners, the NigerDeltans are clamouring for secession and resource control, they have been waiting to treat the Northerners as the Tutsis of Nigeria that needs the Hutu solution as put by one southern leader. Coupled with the desire of Capitalist America to control the Nigerian oil, plus the American long desire to have an inland military base in Nigeria specifically in #Borno due to it strategic location, the Americans will surely come, but there interest have to be fulfilled; the inland base which is probably going to be in #Konduga LG near #Sambisa, and of course the financing of military expenditure is going to be on the Nigerian oil. From all indication, both #North and South are going to lose something they cherished not to lose, for the North is the land that will be used as base and for the south is the oil that is going to be used to pay for the military expenditure, and for how long are they going to stay in Nigerian land, only time and expediency will tell, nevertheless if the coming of America can stop the killings and abduction in the Northern Nigeria, we said a big welcome to the American troops.
