Coming to a weird crossroads running a business at EgoLoss Scenario: Someone orders jewelry from me because they saw it on Instagram. I see that were connected on Instagram so I look at their photos. I find that they have a penchant for snickers bars so I send one along with the jewelry. Some people I talk to about this immediately think whoah dude, thats creepy. But to me, the reality of the situation is that the person openly put up what they like on the internet. And then as a business, it helps me give them more of what they want. Its like people complaining about being targeted by advertisements of stuff they actually like. omg, i was just looking at cameras and now theres an advertisement for a camera lens. creepy bro
