Coming towards the end of March awareness month, and here are my thoughts......... I got the following from a PE advisory site and decided to put it on my page, as this is exactly what happened to our beautiful son Niall who we painfully miss every single day, every waking moment and last thing at night and can never get over his tragic death..... Being made aware is so so important and this is the difference between Niall losing his life to this and all the lucky people who survived it............. PE is a potentially life-threatening condition and in severe cases, the occurrence of circulatory collapse and cardiac arrest may result in sudden death. Early fatality occurs in up to 15% of patients, and thus rapid diagnosis is crucial. However, the diagnosis of PE may be missed because of its non-specific clinical symptoms
