Comment from Cody Bailey: Something needs to be done. Its really worse than what most people realize. Let me try and paint a picture of what we work with on a daily basis in the NICU: These babies suffer a lot worse than what people realize. They have tremors and shake uncontrollably, even when you pick them up. They have so much diarrhea, that their butts literally begin to bleed. They scratch their faces all to pieces, by clawing at their face. A lot of them are horrible eaters, and projectile vomit everywhere. They have a high pitched scream, that goes on for hours on end. Theyre so hypertonic, its even difficult to change diapers where they are so stiff. Even me telling all of this, doesnt do it justice for how bad these babies suffer. Its really tough to work with and see this happen on a daily basis. Its child abuse in my opinion, plain and simple.
