Comment from Revival and Reformation, Onaolapo Ajibade The LORD reigns. Why then does the righteous in Christ suffer? Why is the innocent incarcerated in prison? Why should the one who obeys all health rules have cancer? Why should a good Christian family have a wayward child? Why did God allow all the disciples except John to be killed? why didnt He rescue John the Baptist, Why did God allow the Medieval Church to kill about fifty million faithful Christians? And many more whys! While we do not have answers to these whys, we can take comfort in the following inspired statement from the LORD: There are robes for the righteous, with crowns of glory and palms of victory. All that has perplexed us in the providences of God will in the world to come be made plain. The things hard to be understood will then find explanation. The mysteries of grace will unfold before us. Where our finite minds discovered only confusion and broken promises, we shall see the most perfect and beautiful harmony. We shall know that infinite love ordered the experiences that seemed most trying. As we realize the tender care of Him who makes all things work together for our good, we shall rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. {9Testimonies 286.2}
