My Essential Question: Why is it important for District of Columbia residents should demand all Government Leaders to divest public resources and funds from segregated schools and programs? We must immediately end supporting all forms and facets of apartheid school reform policies, such as: 1. Transferring public funded resources and services to private for profit organizations 2. Charter Schools, School Choice, Vouchers, Virtual Schools, Special Schools and Enrollment Lotteries, School Boundaries 3. Punitive Evaluation Systems and Alternative Teacher Certification 4. Policies and decisions that undermine teaching education professionals, public schools, colleges and unions 5. No Child Left Behind / Race to the Top and High Stakes Testing 6. Differential Pay 7. Uniform Per Student Funding Formula
