Commercial Director - The Position In the role of Commercial Director you are responsible to determine the sales strategy of the commercial area for Brazil and ensure its proper execution, aligned with the global, regional and affiliate strategy. You will lead the sales strategy and organisational setup to ensure revenue and profit targets are met or exceeded. You will be an inspiring leader for the sales force, coach and motivate your team to meet or exceed sales goals and develop them in their role or for future roles. You will strongly adhere to and reinforce high standards on Compliance and Behaviour in Business in your teams. You will report to the General Manager and will be part of the Executive Team of the Brazil affiliate. In this role you will work closely together with all other areas, like Marketing, Professional Services, Finance, HR, Quality & Compliance. As Commercial Director you will: • Build the right team by anticipating and planning for changes in the business and their implications for organization structure and talent needs • Create a stimulating work environment (people & process) capable of delivering consistent, sustainable sales and profit growth in line with the affiliate and region’s objectives • Influence the market segments and maximize market access for our portfolio Build strong relationships and recognition of with stakeholders in the healthcare environment • Develop and lead the implementation of tactical plans to support the overall strategy for the commercial area and the achievement of the business objectives, identifying risks and opportunities and defining priorities • Be responsible for coordinating the development of budgets for the commercial area, and to assess their compliance periodically • Give recommendations to the General Manager and the Executive Committee to develop new business areas, and / or changes in existing areas where required by market conditions • Joint coordination with the Marketing Director and Head of Professional Services to align business goals with marketing plans and professional services objectives • Lead, coach and develop direct reports and their teams Who you are You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. The ideal candidate possesses the following experience and skills: • University Degree, MBA preferred; • Solid Commercial Experience – at least 5 years of experience in leadership position: leading commercial teams, Key Account Managers, and sales departments successfully with experience in developing and implementing state of the art Key Account Management plans; • Ability to analyse and interpret complex information and data; think strategically and conceptually; • Experience in setting successful pricing strategies; • Solid experience in the Brazilian Healthcare Market; • Fluent in English; • Experienced negotiator (as shown by examples and/or certificates); • Demonstrated leadership skills with pronounced customer orientation, ability to lead a commercial organization (inspire, motivate) and constantly seeking for improvement in the commercial organization (training, hiring top talent); • Prepared to travel frequently. • ccarneiro77@gmail
