Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this (Psalm 37:5). We, who live in this world, are confused as to which way to choose, whether to choose this job or that job, to start a business or not, to do this course or that course. There are lots of confusions even in the family. If we lean on our own understanding, it would not be a blessing to us. Let us commit everything into the hand of God and trust only in Him. That is enough and He would take care of the rest. He shall straighten our paths. Let us tell Him whole-heartedly, Lord, I commend my ways in to Your hand, please guide me. Then He would lead us in the right path and it would be a blessing to us. Jonah was a servant of God. The Lord commanded him to go to Nineveh to do His ministry. But Jonah without obeying God’s command got into the ship to go to Tarshish and went away from the presence of God (Jonah 1:3). But suddenly there arose the violent storm in the sea. Then the sailors said to each other, Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity. They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah. Since the sea was getting very rough, they threw Jonah into the sea. But the Lord provided a big fish to swallow Jonah. When we run away from the presence of God, like the fish that swallowed Jonah, satan tries to devour us. But when we surrender our life to God, He keeps us away from all danger. He would show us the right path and bless us. Never trust any human being, Jesus Christ is the only person whom we can trust at all times. Place your trust in Him totally, He will wipe away your tears and remove your problems and grant you abundant joy. The Lord in whom you have placed your trust shall go before you and straighten you paths.
