Common Cause has been doing a fabulous job helping to create a functioning democracy in our country. One of the most secretive, pernicious threats to this is ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. With their massive corporate funding (including the Koch brothers), global corporations and right wing state politicians vote behind closed doors to try to create model state laws that diminish citizen rights in all aspects of American life and often directly benefit huge corporations. Please take 30 seconds to sign this petition to tell AOL to join Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Yahoo in getting out of ALEC, something they never should have done in the first place.
