Communique of the Inaugural Meeting of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation France Chapter The Inaugural meeting of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation France Chapter took place on February 28, 2014 in Le Havre, France. The meeting was coordinated by Casey Adejuwon Michael, a political and social commentator. We affirmed the need to pass a vote of confidence on our leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his contribution and supports to help others in projecting and moving the nation to more democratic secured level through the Action Congress of Nigeria now All Progressive Congress “APC”. We also condemned the recent killings in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno state by the insurgency (Boko Harams) in the North and send our condolences to the families, this is not about Religion, this is not about Tribe, Region, State of Origin, Political affiliation, but greed and wickedness of some Nigerians who think that the country is their private property. We agreed on the need of a comprehensive approach by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the military to engage all stakeholders working towards the objective of the Peace, Security and Cooperative Framework approach to the war torn Northern part of the country. While recognizing that lasting security demands a multi-level approach including development, education, democracy and human rights, we enjoin the Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Goodluck Jonathan to enhance the operational capabilities of the Nigerian security services to enable them respond adequately to internal and regional security challenges. We declared our support for the re-election bid of the Progressive Executives Governor of Ekiti, Dr. John kayode Fayemi and Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola ahead of the June and August Elections. This was based on their masses oriented and life impacting policies, the social security scheme, the employment strides, approach to the tourism,..etc. We agreed to meet again in March 2014 in Le Havre, France, on the importance of Power, Education (including skills training to address youth unemployment), the Political and Security development in Nigeria. We are deeply grateful to AGF National Coordinator, Comrade Akanbi Saheed Afonja for his supportive advice extended to us during the meeting.
