The Care Assistant’s role will involve: •Assisting with essential aspects of providing basic care for clients in their own homes •Providing personal care including assisting with washing, bathing, toileting and dressing •Practical support for service users including laundry, cleaning, preparing and cook meals if outlined in the care plan Full training will be provided for successful Care Assistant’s however we do require the following skills and qualities: •Sound understanding of good care principles •Excellent communications skills •Good planning skills •Ability to cope under pressure •Even tempered and patient •Ability to cope with change •Ability to display empathy and warmth •A positive can do attitude A full driving licence and access to own transport is essential for this role. Applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced CRB check for this post. The hours of work may vary and applicants must be willing to work full or part time hours and every other weekend. The shifts will be a mixture of early shifts and late shifts. The hourly pay rates range from £7.65 to £12.00 depending on experience and length of service.
