Community Drive Bridge destruction scheduled for Friday, October 4th. On Friday, October 4, 2013 at 8 pm the destruction of the Community Drive Bridge will begin. There are no expected delays for NCISD bus routes, as they have been rerouted since the beginning of the school year.... On Friday, October 4, 2013 at 8 pm the destruction of the Community Drive Bridge will begin. There are no expected delays for NCISD bus routes, as they have been rerouted since the beginning of the school year. The bridge is being torn down indefinitely to make way for the new Grand Parkway scheduled to open in 2015. NCISD employees, parents and students will need to take alternate routes on FM 1485, FM 1314, and Loop 494 and plan for longer travel times.
