Community Safety Tip Please take care when you park your car at home Berwick Area - Theft From Cars August 19, 2013 Police are investigating a large number of thefts from motor vehicle which have been occurring in and around residential areas of Berwick. In these offences offenders are gaining entry to unlocked vehicles as well as forcing entry via smashing windows and stealing personal property including lap top computers, coins, wallets and purses. These offences are primarily occurring in the early hours of the morning under the cover of darkness to vehicles parked in driveways and outside house. Police would like to ask residents to ensure their vehicles are locked and no property of value is left in their cars. Police would also appeal to residents who see any person acting suspiciously in and around the residential streets of Berwick to contact 000. Police are appealing for any person with information or who may be able to identify any offenders to contact Crimestoppers.
