Community Works is recruiting a: Volunteer Centre Co-ordinator 35 hours per week, Permanent Post £24,892 - £27,323 + 5% pension contribution Volunteering runs through every strand of our society with volunteers contributing an estimated 57,600 hours of their time within Brighton and Hove each week. By ensuring that charities, groups, and individuals have the support and help they need to make volunteering happen, you will aim to encourage growth in our local volunteering environment and help make volunteering in our city a rewarding and meaningful experience that is accessible to all. You will co-ordinate and deliver the volunteering support services of the Volunteer Centre, including on-line, face to face and business sector volunteering brokerage; promote the service to the voluntary and community sector, including undertaking outreach; develop good practice in working with volunteers across the sector and promote, champion and celebrate the value and positive achievements of volunteering to individuals, the voluntary, business and statutory sectors and other stakeholders with an interest in volunteering. You will need a real passion, commitment and knowledge of volunteering support services; both volunteering brokerage as well as the good practice development support required by groups and organisations to run high quality volunteering programmes.
