Community gardens and community kitchens should replace food - TopicsExpress

Community gardens and community kitchens should replace food stamps, in my opinion. Corn syrup products are not healthy for families, but that is what is grabbed off the shelf - using food stamps. Just like Habitat for Humanity uses sweat equity to build homes, sweat equity in community gardens should build healthy, nutritious diets for the poor. Except for the truly disabled, we should give tickets to the vegetable gardens, instead of food stamps, in my opinion.
