Complaint to Election Commission of India against Som Vihar Housing Soc., RK Puram Sec. 8 Dear SIr, Today while campaigning for my candidature, I was not allowed to enter into the premise of Som Vihar Apartments RK Puram, Sector-8 of New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. This is again a violation of my right and an illegal act by the society to stop a candidate who is doing campaigning in legal way. This is a shameful act done by the society. I wonder that whether I live in a world of democracy or autocracy of capitalists, rich and bureaucrats. I request you that kindly publish a public notice in the newspapers that any residential colonies or markets should not stop any candidate from doing election campaigning in legal way from 6 am to 10 pm in the night. And that any resident welfare association cannot make any by law regarding restriction on the timings and days of campaigning. That such privilege to the candidates is given before 48 hrs of election. Otherwise neither people can get information about their candidates nor candidates can know about the people. Not all candidates can afford expensive TV, Radio, Newspaper or phone camping and door to door campaigning is very important for both candidates and the people. Thus I request you to kindly take some action to establish democratic ethics in the society. Or else, our democracy would be insulted by the rich and powerful. Thank you, Nikhil Sablania
