Computer Advantage Assistant Manager Accountability: Store Manager Position Overview: The Assistant Manager will demonstrate passion and enthusiasm in their interactions with customers and teammates. Eager to tackle challenges, assist customers with their product and service needs, and provide management support with day-to-day operations. Lead by example in displaying excellent customer service, problem solving skills, and maintaining a strong work ethic. Work with a team of specialists in customer service, purchasing, sales, and service repair. Must enjoy technology and Apple products! Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist and advise customers with their hardware, software, and accessory purchases; Recommend solutions; Research and provide requested information; Perform product demonstrations. • Enter and retrieve information in Company Point of Sale system. Information includes but not limited to the following: prepare quotes, orders, and invoices; create service repair orders; handle cash, check, and credit transactions. • Provide quality customer service. Establish and maintain customer relationships. Keep customers informed on orders and product status. Follow-up with customers after purchase. • Assist with planning of work schedules, assigning duties to employees, and inventory reporting. • Ability to recognize changes in employee performance and assist with training and employee development as needed. • Provide feedback to purchasing department about slow and fast selling products, product selection, planning and adjusting stock levels, and customer requests. • Oversee compliance of established company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, and security, sales, record-keeping procedures, and store appearance standards. • Help solve problems that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity. • Participate in Company or Apple sponsored training programs as required. Attend sales meetings and other meetings or seminars as notified. • Ensure daily reports and bank deposits are complete and accurate. • Lock and secure the store. • Ability to work a full-time schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times. • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned. Education/Knowledge/Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. • Skilled using an Apple computer and software preferred. • Previous retail sales and management experience preferred. • Strong communication, attention to detail, and follow-through skills. Inter-Relationships: • Works with retail and business clients. • Communicates with all Company departments (Accounting, Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, & Service) and staff at other locations. • May have contact with vendor reps. Computer Advantage 11/2014 Working Conditions: • Retail Store Environment • Retail hours • Fast-paced Physical Demands: • Handle and lift products and computers up to 70 pounds on occasion. • May often stand for long periods of time. • Type using a computer keyboard. • Visually read information off of a computer screen.
