Concerned with the amount of discarded rubbish being dumped along the Western walking path in the Botanical Gardens I approached the head of the gardens staff re getting a few rubbish bins placed at strategic points along the path. The response was, We cant,Council made it their policy to only have bins on the East walking path and at the play area ! The ugly head of bureaucracy has once again reared up and displayed a total lack of comprehension. The Like our decision,or lump it ! attitude of the Councillors toward the staff who have apparently requested more bins is deplorable! If only our good Councillors could demonstrate such strong resolve at decision making regarding other more important matters! Maybe they could pass-the-buckas per usual by calling in expensive consultants to advise them on this garbage related manner thus avoiding deflation of their collective ego !!
