Concordo ipsis literis com o comentário aposto nesse vídeo da interpretação das Variações de Goldberg de Bach: Great from a pianistic point of view, sometimes even more brilliant than the early recording of Gould by which he was obviously inspired, but I very often simply dont understand his musical choices (extreme tempi, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, voicing). In many variations I hear an astonishing amount of details, but where is the unity, where is the simplicity, where are the long lines? In my opinion, a typical example of a pianist who wants to do too much with the music without letting it speak for itself...
