Confession #90: When I still lived in Cary, every time it would snow my back yard would turn into a giant sheet of ice because the clay wouldnt absorb water very well. Around this same time, I had stuck a bunch of sticks in the ground that I would glue leaves to. I was nine, so it made sense at the time. When I went outside after a good ice/snow and shrieked immediately. A squirrel had impaled itself on one of my sticks, presumably by sliding across the ice. In my terror, I jerked the stick from the ground and threw it like a spear over the fence. Fifteen minutes later small children came out of the house and reacted similarly. I dont think they ever figured out who threw the impaled squirrel into their yard, but I still feel slightly bad about that. Slightly.
