Confirmation finally received that I am in the clinical trial. So Monday I go to Chapel Hill for more lab work and an EKG then some fun with PopUp Chorus. Spending the night so that Tuesday I can get a fresh start at the hospital. Ill take the clinical trial medication (pill, yippee!) and then they will draw blood after hour 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Already thankful for peripheral IVs. Another night at the hotel, no chorus, I expect tv will be the highlight of the evening. Wednesday Ill go home. I have another one of these long appointments in November. Other than that I think Ill be going up every other week for lab work and follow up. Side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, lack of energy, decreased white count, decreased red count, decreased appetite, weight loss, hot flashes and increased sun sensitivity. I know the ones Id like to choose, should we start a pool on which ones I get? LOL Anymore hot flashes and I may spontaneously combust :) Ill have my cell phone if anyone needs me.
