Confirmed: A 14-year-old Jamaica College student who was slapped with charges of illegal possession of a firearm was granted bail yesterday in the sum of $250,000 with one or two sureties. Acting on intelligence, Police held the third form student with an Askel 45 pistol in a school bag on June 20, during a search conducted at the Half-Way-Tree transport centre. The teen is to appear in the Gun Court on August 13, 2014.
