Cong will form next Govt in state: Nizami Party has rejected opportunist leaders Srinagar October 27: The Congress State Secretary, Salman Nizami, on Monday said that the Congress will make the government in Jammu and Kashmir on its own strength and former Union Health Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, will be the new Chief Minister. Nizami said that Congress party will romp home on its own strength under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that when the Ministers and bureaucrats left Kashmir during floods, Congress leader Azad was camping in Srinagar to oversee the relief and rescue operations. He said that the Congress was committed to providing the secular government in the state, adding that party will defeat the communal forces who are `` hell bent on dividing the people on the basis of religion. There are some political parties which are playing the politics of regionalism and created hatred among the communities and the Congress will defeat such forces and ideologies in the upcoming elections, he said. Nizami said that the party is fully geared up for the elections in the state and the party cadres have been asked to do canvassing on the landmark initiatives that were initiated in the state during the rule of the Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that the party has rejected the opportunist leaders who had no chances of winning the elections and have joined the other parties. Referring to joining of former Deputy Chief Minister, Mangat Ram Sharma, in the PDP , Nizami said that he has already conceded defeat. He (Sharma) was not confidant that he will win the elections and that is the reason he has left the party, he said. He also added that the criticism by former bureaucrat, Farooq Renzu Shah, who has now floated his own party was unfounded adding that `` he was opportunist leader. Congress always banks on the support of the loyalist workers and we have the cadre which is committed to ideals of the party which can provide a stable government in the state, he said. He said that the Congress is for the inclusive development of all the three regions of the state and is particularly committed to helping lift the areas which have been ignored by the other political parties due to the vote bank politics. The Congress has been fighting in the state on the plank of overall development of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and it is only Azad Saheb who can bring about the development in all the three regions of the state, he said.
