Congrats to Mr. Bowman. He was successful in garnering significant support with social media. This shows that he is technologically progressive, and I look forward to seeing what open government initiatives he will sponsor in his new role mayor. As a taxpayer I hope that he does not raise our taxes excessively. As a small businessman and urban professional, I would like to see a relaxation of zoning regulation in the core to favour an improved exchange district. Also, the creation of economic incentives to encourage the conversion from surface parking lots to medium and high density residential and commercial properties would significantly increase the value of a Rapid Transit system. I look forward to seeing more bars and restaurants succeed on Provencher Boulevard.
