Congrats to Tim Eves for an awesome event in, eh.. a bit of inclemental weather today! The remnants of Cyclone Ita brought us some pretty big angry seas - Some of the bigger conditions I have been in in a long time. Some massive 10m swell faces with a few feet of rolling white water on the top trying to tear me out of my seat! It was go-pro stuff for sure and i am hoping someone had theirs on! Well done Dean Gardiner for taking the win, Zac Franich for 2nd, and Michael Jacob Walker third, followed by Yours Truly. Wind was gusting 30-40 knots maybe more, and the out and back 4 lap course was about all the planet would allow today. Thanks a heap for driving up the Fergs Kayaks Auckland Trailer, Rachael Dodwell!
