Congrats to our Veterans Community Living Centers! The American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living have recognized the Colorado Veterans Community Living Centers at Homelake and Walsenburg as 2014 recipients of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. These community living centers are two of only 10 in Colorado to receive this national recognition. Nationally, only five of 390 programs receiving the award serve only honorably discharged veterans, veterans’ spouses or widows and “Gold-Star Parents” who are non-veterans, but whose children have died while serving in the Armed Forces. CDHS boasts two of them! Homelake and Walsenburg staff will receive their awards at the AHCA/NCAL 65th Annual Convention and Exposition, October 5-8, in Washington, D.C.
