Congratulations, Alonso Medina! Prior to Christmas vacation, the Texas Catholic Newspaper conducted an essay contest in which students were asked to explain how their Catholic Education was important to them. Throughout the diocese, over 800 essays were submitted. The judging was divided into the grade level categories: primary, elementary, and high school. Alonso (8th grade) won first place in his category! His essay, and those of the other winners, will be printed in the latest edition of the Texas Catholic. Additionally, the winners will receive a package of 4 tickets to a Mavericks game. Alonso and the other first place winners, will be introduced on the floor of the stadium prior to the game. Thank you, Alonso, for representing your school so well.
