Congratulations Lady Tornadoes on a fine season! 23-10 is nothing to hang your heads about! Its sad to watch you girls grow up so fast. I remember the 1st day of your kindergarten year, when you didnt even know if you were a righty or lefty! I remember my tiny little girls after 3 hour practices becoming the strongest county league team Ive ever seen, beating up on girls 3 times your size! You girls have been something Ive always cared so much about. Sometimes my intensity comes across to you with a different meaning but I assure you it was always out of love! Its time to move on with my life and become a fulltime dad and husband! The frustrations of coaching and small town drama has taken a toll on me. I have found a safe haven with my Diamondstorm girls (diamondstorm.org ) and with that responsibility I cannot commit to another Tornadoes season! Thank you girls for the good times! I will always be in your corner, but from this point in a lawn chair! Thank you Robert Kennedy for all that you do! You have my utmost respect and Im sure The Tornadoes will thrive, only losing 1 senior! In my opinion we were the best team in the area with a dead spot in our season! I hope the community will support you as our coach and I wish you all the best! To Rachel Smith, good luck, the team will miss you! Last but not least thank you Griggsville-Perry school board for giving me the opportunity to take a checkmark off of my bucket-list. I wanted to coach high school softball once and you gave me that chance! I appreciate the chance but realize Im way more suited for the Summer competitive program! Much respect for all area coaches, its hard work being criticized and picked apart every time something goes wrong and taking the blame for something you had no part of! Your hard dedicated work for little or no money is nowhere near worth the pain arm chair Quarterbacks cause! Holding kids accountable is very tough. Usually by the time the story hits the supper table and through a couple loyal friends you have almost committed a felony in a small town lol! Good Luck Lady Tornadoes!
