Congratulations and Bravo to the Red River County Hospital - TopicsExpress

Congratulations and Bravo to the Red River County Hospital Authority board of trustees. (serious sarcasm injected here) You did not listen to the majority of the Red River County citizens. You chose to award the lease of the countys medical facility to Paris Regional Medical Center instead of the taxpayers preferred choice, Dr. Arjumand Hashmi. Now, as of Friday, December 19, 2014 the 3rd floor of the hospital will be closed to patients, and as of 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 the Emergency department will be closed. Our local hospital will be completely shut down. I truly hope you are all happy and proud of yourselves. You are the only ones that are happy and proud. There are 9 men and women serving of the board of trustees: Howard Taylor, president; Naomi Lawler, secretary; members Patty Barton, Bill Bryson, Mark Megason, Larry Cornell, Vincent Lum, Dr. B.C. Muthappa and Morris Foster. When the decision was made to award the lease to PRMC on September 9, 2014 Dr. B.C. Muthappa and Mr. Morris Foster were the ONLY 2 board members fully supporting Dr. Hashmi. The first 7 members above ALL voted to support PRMC. I have been informed that after the board meeting last night with Steve Grubbs of PRMC, at least one of the 7 board members who originally supported PRMC is admitting that he made the wrong decision on September 9th. Please remember to contact your local county judge and county commissioner(s) to appoint NEW and DIFFERENT people to the RRCHA board of trustees. WE MUST HAVE CHANGE. Thank you Dr. Muthappa, Mr. Foster, Ann Rushing, Kenneth Backus, James Wood and L.D. Williamson for you hard work and unwavering dedication in trying to keep our hospital open. This is ONLY my personal opinion. End of rant.....(for now)
