Congratulations to 44th Ward resident, Judge Abner Mikva, on being one of 19 Americans awarded the prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nations highest civilian honor. Judge Mikva has an impressive resume as a five term congressman, chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. circuit, President Bill Clintons White House counsel and a law professor at the University of Illinois and the University of Chicago.
