Congratulations to Jonathan, Jei, and Noah, who were recently notified of their inclusion in the Fairfax County Advanced Academic Placement Program starting in the Fall. Over the years, I have seen first-hand, their enthusiasm, dedication, commitment to learn and improve their craft; and they have learned by experimenting with new colors, trying different and expressive methods, observing others and listening to constructive feedback--they have consistently exhibited leadership qualities through art, and Im proud of them. But more importantly, Im proud of all my students who have become confident artists and are displaying leadership qualities that will help everyone succeed in a diverse variety of academic and professional fields.
