Congratulations to Myron Jeffs for earning the 2013 Land Steward of the Year Award from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Myron is the Outdoor Recreation Planner at the Henry Mountain Field Office in Utah. The NOLS Stewardship Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional stewardship of public lands and the environment. Recipients are honored for the special care they take toward an area or region, balancing proper regard for the public’s interest with mindful responsibility for the natural resource. Myron was selected, in part, because he sees education and outreach as a priority for his work in outdoor recreation.
